The Christchurch Earthquakes have affected all of us, and since that time Steve and Emma Jack, and our dedicated team, have been focusing our experience and expertise on relieving the worries of our fellow Cantabrians though professional advice and quality workmanship. We have worked on repairing, restoring and improving a vast amount of residential earthquake-damaged homes throughout Canterbury, and will continue to do all we can in this area wherever required.

Where repairs are not possible, we can provide Architectural Services and advice to assist you in planning the right home for you. If you’re thinking of building you’re welcome to contact us for a free quote and to chat about the right build project to suit your individual needs.

The hard-working individuals that make up the Jack Homes team are invaluable and a source of pride to Jack Homes, bringing a variety of experience to the work we do through their individual specialist skills as well as their willingness to constantly apply new techniques to make Christchurch the safest, most modern, and most advanced city in New Zealand.

At Jack Homes we take steps to go the extra mile in sharing our knowledge of the building process with our customers and we gladly provide valuable timesaving assistance with all Council processes, consents and related legal requirements.

     Steve Jack

Steve Jack is a hands-on person who enjoys working as part of the Jack Homes team, while also overseeing that all work is undertaken to his own top-level standards. Often managing multiple sites at any one time. Steve entered the building industry straight out of school and it has been a continued passion, and an enjoyable challenge, since then.

After having launched Jack Homes in 2009, Steve and his team of qualified industry specialists have been providing a wide range of build work from residential home repairs to complete new builds for the residents of Christchurch, gaining wide respect for being one of the longest serving local businesses in the region.

Steve built his own first house at the age of 18, here in his hometown of Christchurch. He is someone who thrives on doing the hands-on work alongside his team. Steve is well respected for the expert workmanship he applies to every job to ensure that the residents of Canterbury receive the very best building services, providing for their long term safety, durability, and the continued development of Christchurch as a whole.

Steve insists that being the owner of a building company that was well established before the earthquakes, and who will be here well after, is a mark of his own durability in the building industry. He feels that it’s a personal responsibility of all building companies to ensure that Canterbury receives the level of workmanship that is deserving of a town that has been through so much. He assures his customers that he is here to stay, and can thus personally guarantee every job he undertakes.
